Description

Hadestown: Teen Edition is a fun adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell's Hadestown, reimagined for teen actors and family audiences. This captivating folk opera is full of powerful moments and offers a hopeful and exciting theatrical experience. The story follows two love stories that twist together – the young and passionate Orpheus and Eurydice, and the immortal King Hades and his wife Persephone. Hadestown takes the audience on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back. With influences from classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, the musical explores big themes like the battle between industry and nature, doubt and belief, and fear versus love.

Paisley Siemens

Paisley Siemens is a local dance instructor, choreographer, and CYT North Idaho alum. She has been teaching classes and camps with CYT for the past 10 years and is also a dance teacher at Northern Dance Academy. Her recent work with CYT North Idaho includes directing and choreographing The SpongeBob Musical and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical. Paisley has also worked with Aspire, where she directed and choreographed Legally Blonde: The Musical, and choreographed Guys and Dolls and The Who’s Tommy. She is excited to be part of a new generation of CYT students experiencing the program.

Reese Weddle

Returning from Las Vegas, Reese is thrilled to be joining the Music Man creative team! She has been studying all disciplines of dance her entire life, and grew up on dance competition stages. In addition to both UNLV Division IA and studio dance, Reese has assistant choreographed, dance captained, and performed in both amateur and professional musical theatre productions. Choreography and dance captain credits include Something Rotten!, All Shook Up, A Chorus Line, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, competition dances with Expressions School of Performing Arts, among others. Reese is grateful for all the love and support, and is excited to work with CYT again!

Emme Labenne

Emme LaBenne is thrilled to be back teaching at CYT this session. As a graduate of the program, Emme is dedicated to fostering the same creative, welcoming, and educational environment that had such a positive impact on her. She has previously had the opportunity to choreograph and teach drama for CYT camp and music-directed CYT-Lite’s Honk Jr. Emme has a deep love for the arts and is always amazed to witness students' growth in confidence, skill, and passion
