Anyone wanting to Audition will need to have a family account set up and be Registered for a class.

Sign Up to Audition!

How do I sign up for an audition time slot?
1. Log in to your family account on the website.
2. Click on the Tools button next to your Student/Family member wishing to audition.
3. From that dropdown menu, click on 'Auditions'.
4. Under the name of the Student/Family member, click on '+ New Audition Appointment'.
5. Click on 'Audition for Show'.
6. Select the Show your Student/Family member wishes to audition for. NOTE: ALL audition time slots are for EITHER, or BOTH, show(s).  Choose the time slot that works best for you regardless of the "show" name.
7. Select the audition time you want.
8. Click 'Save'.
It's that easy!
 

 Quick Tips

  • You are limited to a one minute vocal audition. Your song must be between 30-60 seconds long. Show off the best of your talents!
  • Slate - this is when you introduce yourself with energy and confidence before you sing your song. 
  • Smile, project, make eye contact with the directors, be personal and be yourself! 
  • Be well prepared in every way, practice, practice, practice! 
  • Sing an appropriate song in your range – a children’s song or show tune is recommended for auditioning students. No Pop songs, worship songs or songs from the show for which you are auditioning.
  • Accompaniment requirements can include sheet music or an instrumental MP3 or MP4 only track.

  • You will also be asked to learn and perform a short dance routine.

Casting

Not everyone is guaranteed a role after their audition. Unfortunately there is a limited number of spaces, and the number of students cast varies from show to show. However, if you are cast, here are some things to expect:
  • You must be at all rehearsals for which you are scheduled. If an absence is necessary, it must be clearly stated on your Audition Form. Conflicts will be taken into consideration during casting. Any cast member missing more than two rehearsals may not be able to participate in the show. Conflicts (other than illness) presented after casting will not be allowed.
  • Leaving early or arriving late is considered a conflict, and must be approved prior to casting.
  • You must commit to approximately 40 hours of rehearsal time before move-in and dress rehearsal week.
  • You must attend Super Saturday and all dress/tech rehearsals.
  • You must be at all performances. This includes missing up to two days of school for field trip performances. These are approved absences.
  • You must pay a Production Fee of $115.
  • Your parents must agree to attend two parent meetings and to serve approximately 20-30 hours on a production committee (see committee options below).

Parents must agree to the following: 

I realize that if my child is chosen for the cast, I will be responsible to make sure he/she attends every performance and every rehearsal for which he/she is scheduled. In case of illness, I will notify the Area Coordinator in advance. In order to ensure the quality of rehearsals and the production, I understand that two or more absences may result in dismissal from the show. I understand that students who audition are NOT eligible for a tuition refund. I understand that my child may audition for one area/show only each session. I understand that I will be charged a $115 Production Fee. I am also responsible for personal items (i.e., shoes, tights, make-up). I understand that I will be required to attend two parent meetings and volunteer 20-30 hours as part of a parent committee.

Tuition Refund/Credit Policy
  • $25 processing fee is retained on all refunds.
  • If credit is preferred - the full amount paid will be added to your family account.
  • No refunds/credits are authorized after your child auditions.
  • No refunds/credits are authorized after the second week of class
