Class Description

The Importance of Being Earnest, A Trivial Comedy for Serious People is a play by Oscar Wilde. It is a farcical comedy in which the protagonists maintain fictitious persona to escape burdensome social obligations. The play's major themes are the triviality of Victorian social conventions.
This class will be a production centered course focused on acting and stage craft. By the end of the session students will be mounting their very own production, gathering their own props and designing their own sets and costumes.

This production has 9 roles so the course will be holding auditions, held on Friday September 6th. Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script which can be found online.

Please have a second class choice in mind to sign up for in case you are not cast.
