Class Description

Get ready to seize the day with this fun and exciting musical theatre class all about the broadway musical Newsies. In this class, students will dive into the history of newsies in America along with learning and performing some of the most iconic Newsies songs. This class will enhance the student’s performance in musical theatre and give them more skills in their bag of knowledge for future performances. Can’t wait to see you in class!

Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score by Alan Menken.

Chloe Turnbull

Chloe Turnbull is a CYT North Idaho Alumni and graduate of Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy and NIC. Currently attending Grand Canyon University and working toward a degree in Elementary Education. She was involved in CYT for ten years performing in over 20 shows. You may remember Chloe cast as Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, A Dream Dancer in Narnia, Snow White in Snow White and the Prince, with a favorite being a Disciple in Godspell.
