Description

In this Musical Theater class we will explore musicals that started as classic movies, cult classics, oldies and have become beloved Broadway Musicals. An American in Paris, A Christmas Story, Back to the Future, Sunset Blvd, The Producers, Monte Python, Rocky. Some very popular musicals have made their way to the stage, and we are here to celebrate them! Join us as we have fun acting, singing and dancing our way from Screen to Stage. 
Prerequisite: ALL CORES Must Be Competed

Kynzie Washington

From age 10 to 18, Kynzie participated in camps, classes, and shows at CYT and loved every minute. Since graduating, she has been involved in many local productions, favorites including Hunchback of Notre Dame and Spongebob Squarepants the Musical. Kynzie has enjoyed teaching camps with CYT and putting on productions at Dalton Elementary. Outside of work and theatre, you can catch Kynzie in the kitchen cooking or trying out a new hobby. Theatre has taught her more than she ever thought it could, and she hopes to share her joy for the performing arts with all of her students.
