Bonnie Throckmorton

Show Coordinator
Bonnie has a degree in Vocal Performance and Communication. Bonnie has acted for over 17 years in many community theater company's including CCT, and has 20 years of dance. She also has worked with children in many compacities including teaching, directing, and coaching. Her love for the Lord and kids is why she is here. "God gave us these talents, let's use them for His Glory. It's all His stage."

Carson Stowell

Carson is a senior theatre arts and broadcasting double major with a minor in interdisciplinary arts at Gonzaga University. His recent credits are Henry in Next to Normal, Hamlet in Hamletmachine, Roland in Constellations and Jack Kelly in CCT/CYT's production of Newsies. He will appear in Gonzaga's The Last 5 Years in October. He's excited to be teaching for CYT this session.

Chris Tortora

Chris Tortora began his career in the entertainment industry as a stuntman for numerous stunt shows at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and was personally hand selected by George Lucas to portray Han Solo for Disney Hollywood Studios. He has also worked on many television shows like SeaQuest w. Roy Scheider, Mortal Kombat the series and From Earth to the Moon with Tom Hanks and Mark Harmon. Working as a Stuntman, Director and Stunt Coordinator has also allowed him to travel the globe, and in 1999, King Solomon’s Mines, (a stunt show he Stunt Coordinated and Directed), became the #1 Show in Europe. Locally he is known as Marshal Jack in the train stunt show out at Silverwood Theme Park. In addition to writing, casting, directing, stunt coordinating and creating shows for Silverwood, he has also stunt coordinated shows for Christian Youth Theater and local High schools. In 2015, he became a published author (under pen name Jack Castle) with Edge Sci-fi and Fantasy Publishing. His novels have been consistently ranked as the Top 100 Bestselling books on Amazon and are available worldwide in e-book and print. Chris had this to say about his upcoming CYT class, Stunts and Combat… “I’ve been casting CYT performers for the stunt show out at Silverwood Theme Park for years. I’ve also enjoyed stunt coordinating their shows. I am always impressed by how much the students learn at CYT and I’m even more excited to be a part of their development!”

Erin Allsup

Erin Allsup is a CYTNI alumni. She was introduced to this organization back in 2011 and has been in numerous shows in the area. Audiences might remember her as the Ghost of Christmas Future in A Christmas Carol and Fiona in Shrek the Musical She studies dance at Northern Dance Academy and has been dancing since a young age. She has helped assist CYT summer camps in the past and has even helped choreograph one. Erin is very excited to get the opportunity to teach children her passion.

Jesse Hampsch

Jesse Hampsch was born in Mesa, AZ in 1992. He holds Master's of Music in both Choral Conducting and Composition. His compositions have been performed in high schools, universities, and for honor choirs across the U.S. His broad musical interests inspire him to compose for a number of genres including: choral, musical theatre, and art song. He loves to teach music at all levels, from junior camps to collegiate music courses.

Kay Poland

Kay Poland is a radio veteran of 30 years who is currently part owner and mid-day DJ of Today's Christian Country radio station. Her theatre credits include Sweet Charity, Titanic the Musical (CCT Concert), Traditions of Christmas, Sound of Music, Les Miserables, Evita, and Annie Get Your Gun. As a teenager, she was a member of The Young Americans. She is also currently active in the worship team at her church. Kay delights in being the "crazy theatre auntie" to various young people in our community!

Paisley DuPuis

Paisley DuPuis is a CYT North Idaho alumni, her first show with CYT dating back to 2008. As well as being involved in CYT Paisley is also a trained dancer and has taken classes in ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap and hip hop and has been teaching dance for the past four years. She is currently finishing her AA in music at North Idaho College. Paisley has loved being involved over the years in many different aspects of CYT including being a CYT camp counselor and choreographer the last three summers and choreographing last spring show. She is very excited to be teaching for CYT this session and to be able to be a part of a new generation of CYT students experience in the program.

River Hopkins

River Hopkins has years of experience in stage management and technical theatre. She started working in greenroom years ago when her daughter auditioned for and was in her first show. She then moved from greenroom to house to tech. Since then she has worked with CYT Spokane, North Idaho, ACT, LCP, LLT, and CST. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and passion with the wonderful kids here in North Idaho.
