EXCITING NEWS FOR SUMMER CAMPS 2013!!

Christian Youth Theater of North Idaho has partnered with Camp Fire USA to provide two exciting residential performing arts theater camps at Camp Sweyolakan on Lake Coeur d'Alene during the 2013 Summer!





CAMP PIXAR

JUKEBOX LOVE
Overnight Teen Camp
(Grades 8-12)
July 8-12, 2013


"Camp Pixar" - This show will include songs from various Pixar Movies including:  A Bug's Life, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, and more.  Students will perform in an impressive concluding SHOWCASE for family and friends. "Jukebox Love"-This show is a compilation of all of the Jukebox Broadway Musicals like Jersey Boys, Movin' Out, All Shook Up, Mama Mia, and more.  Students will perform in an impressive concluding SHOWCASE for family and friends at a theater location TBA.

Join campers with similar interests as you learn to act, sing, and dance while exploring the outdoors at Camp Sweyolakan! Campers will gain knowledge about Performing Arts and experience the joys of summer camp as they swim, canoe, do high- and low- challenge courses, archery and much more.

Parents can come to the performance & have a barbeque lunch with their kids before heading back home.

Two week-long CYT musical theater day camps will be held this summer at the CYT Campus.  Camp is offered for ages 5-12.  The cost for summer day camp is $95 for Bitties (ages 5-6) and $165 Juniors (ages 7-12) and includes a camp t-shirt and pizza lunch on Friday!  Register two weeks prior to the start of desired camp and receive an Early-Bird Discount of $15 off your registration! Staff includes professionals from local artists, CYT Production Artistic Teams and CYT Alumni Students. Team competitions, rotations through daily drama, dance, music, and theater workshops, and an impressive concluding SHOWCASE for family and friends are what CYT Summer Day Camps are all about!

Each summer CYT theater camp is designed to create a hands-on, multi-faceted theater experience! Campers will enjoy making new friends as they build performance skills and learn self-confidence, teamwork and theater abilities. Every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage.

Campers will be exposed to many different aspects of theater, such as drama, voice, dance and more. Each camp must have a minimum enrollment of 20, or it will be combined with another camp date.

There is no better place for kids to learn about theater and have fun than in CYT's positive and encouraging atmosphere.
